Full Strain

Full red guppies are judged on one thing: whether the red runs unbroken from the gill plate through the body and all the way to the edge of the caudal. Most cheap full reds break somewhere, usually with a pale patch behind the head or an orange fade at the tail edge.Holding that red is a feeding job, not luck. Ours are raised on live baby brine shrimp from week one and moved on to NRD, which carries the pigment that keeps red from dropping to orange as the fish matures. Feed flake alone at home and the colour will fade within two months, whatever you paid for the pair.Pairs start at Rs 250. Full reds are one of the easier strains to breed, so a pair in a one foot tank with a clump of moss will usually give you fry within a month of settling in.
