Description

This albino metal yellow lace guppy opens with an orange red face that gradually fades back into a pale metallic yellow body, a soft two tone transition that gives the fish a warm glow toward the front while letting a brighter, lighter colour take over across most of the body. The pale red eyes typical of any albino strain complete the look, confirming the lack of dark pigment that also means there are no black markings anywhere on the body itself.

The lace pattern comes through clearly in the fins, where a golden yellow base carries bold black lace blotches across both the caudal and dorsal fin. Despite the albino trait removing dark body pigment, the fin lace markings here still show as visible black, which is a normal part of how this particular lace pattern expresses itself even on an albino bodied fish, and it creates a strong contrast against the golden yellow background.

That contrast between the warm orange red face, the pale metallic yellow body and the black laced golden fins gives this strain a lot of visual variety packed into one fish, more than a solid coloured albino would typically show. It rewards a closer look, since the transition from face to body and the detail in the lace blotching are both easy to miss from a distance.

Males display the complete look, the orange red face fading into pale metallic yellow, paired with black laced golden yellow caudal and dorsal fins. Females are rounder bodied and considerably plainer as guppy females are, showing a much softer version of the face colouring and far smaller fins with little to no visible lace patterning.

This is a generally easy strain to keep, needing standard guppy care rather than anything unusual, good filtration, stable temperature and a consistent water change routine. A sponge filter or a guarded power filter intake both suit this fish fine since the fins are a reasonable size and not particularly delicate.

Good tankmates include other peaceful livebearers, small tetras, corydoras and similar calm community fish, with fin nippers best avoided so the lace pattern stays undamaged. Feeding a varied diet of quality flake or micro pellets daily, along with live or frozen baby brine shrimp added a few times a week, supports healthy growth and helps keep both the yellow body tone and the black lace fin pattern looking sharp.

As livebearers, a settled pair will produce broods of fully formed, free swimming fry roughly every four weeks, with no egg laying stage involved. Regular partial water changes of around twenty five percent weekly help this strain hold its colour and pattern clearly as it grows into a fully coloured adult.
